If you haven’t had the opportunity to do Downtown Delray Beach’s First Friday Art Walk, now is your last chance. Held the first Friday of every month from October to May, the First Friday Art Walk is a self-guided tour of art galleries and studios. The last one will be held May 6 from 6 to 9 p.m.
The Delray Beach Downtown Development Authority curated a list of public and private art installations throughout the downtown area. Also, check out the Delray Beach Art Trail through a self-guided tour, which can be found at delrayarttrail.com. It features more than 110 public art installations and murals painted throughout Downtown Delray on both public and privately owned businesses.
Past Art Walk participants included: Arts Garage, DeBilzan Gallery, Renata Fine Arts and The Heart of Delray Gallery, among others.
The downtown Delray Beach Arts District includes Artists Alley (corner of N.E. 3rd St. and “Artists Alley” between N.E. 3rd Ave. and N.E. 4th Ave.), Pineapple Grove (N.E. 2nd Ave.), Atlantic Avenue and West Atlantic Avenue.
It’s a free event and you can start wherever you’d like! The best part is that there are also a variety of restaurants and bars in the areas so you can grab a bite or a drink along the way.
