If you’re looking to spice up your Sunday brunch, or any other time of the day, Adoboloco has something for you. The Hawaiian-based family-owned business that makes handcrafted sauces has added three hot Bloody Mary cocktail mixes to its menu.
This trio of sauces — Crying Mary, Smoking Hot Mary and Dirty Mary — can be used in your favorite Bloody Mary mix, red/dirty beer or simply to spice up any meal as a hot sauce.
The company describes Crying Mary as “an emotional rollercoaster” that will leave a tear in your eye. You can understand why, given that it’s made, in part, with some of the world’s hottest known peppers — a blend of jalapeño, habanero, Trinidad Scorpion and ghost peppers. Smoking Hot Mary, with a smoked ghost pepper and habanero flavor, is “wild and fun” with a “crazy side.” And Dirty Mary is everyone’s friend who “won’t pass up an opportunity to do a few shots with the guys.” This sauce has a smooth jalapeño flavor.
The company got its start in 2011 as a homeschool garden and has grown along the way to a small family business. It added production facilities in Oregon in 2015. The name is derived from Adobo and Loco which when translated from Spanish means “crazy” (loco) “sauce” (adobo).
The sauces are available in stores in Hawaii and Oregon or online.
