AAF National Student Advertising Competition Awards Luncheon Sponsored by Wienerschnitzel
Announced by the American Advertising Federation (AAF) as the official corporate sponsor of its 2019 National Student Advertising Competition (NSAC), Wienerschnitzel is providing a “real-world” marketing challenge to over 2,000 advertising and marketing college students nationwide who had to develop and pitch an integrated campaign to a panel of industry judges. The final leg of the competition will be hosted at The Diplomat Beach Resort in Hollywood, Florida in conjunction with ADMERICA, AAF’s national conference, from June 6 – 7, 2019.
Only the top eight teams who qualified from districts and semi-finals will compete in the finals, moving the best of the best forward. Finalists include Columbia College Chicago, Ithaca College, Johnson & Wales University Providence, Liberty University, South Dakota State University, Southern Methodist University, Syracuse University and University of Alabama. The winning team will present its marketing campaign at the NSAC Awards Luncheon on Friday, June 7, followed by a key note speaker from Coca-Cola.
According to Doug Koegeboehn, Wienerschnitzel’s chief marketing officer, instead of the usual NSAC assignment to increase sales or market share for a specific brand or business, Wienerschnitzel is using its partnership with AAF to elevate consumer perceptions and get consumers to know the truths about the misconceptions surrounding one of America’s favorite foods: the hot dog.
