The North Creek Explorer 5K/10K Run and Walk Virtual Race will be run virtually on December 5. Register before November 16 to receive a swag bag with T-shirt, participation medal and more.

North Creek Presbyterian Church will hold its 12th Annual North Creek Explorer 5K/10K Run and Walk on December 5, 2020 -- just virtually instead of hosted at the church as in years past. All runners and walkers from South Florida and beyond are invited to participate.

The race supports the Coconut Creek Police Department Explorer Program for high school youth ages 14 to 16 who wish to train for a career in law enforcement. Proceeds help cover costs for uniforms, equipment, competitions, trips and more that give Explorers an opportunity to not only learn but also to serve the community.

Sarah Bolhofner, Communications Director for the virtual race noted, “Due to COVID-19 concerns, the North Creek Explorer Virtual 5K/10K will be run virtually this year. This gives runners the opportunity to participate from all around the world. We encourage anyone to register or donate to help these students cover the costs to pursue their passions - giving back to the community."

The Virtual Run/Walk may be completed on any route of the runner’s choice, with times submitted between 12am and 11:59pm on December 5. A swag bag including T-shirt and participant medal is guaranteed for those who sign up prior to November 16. Registration closes on December 4. First place male and female winners will receive a gift from Runners Box.
