Prevention through Balance Webinar

United Way of Broward County’s Commission on Behavioral Health & Drug Prevention will host a Virtual Webinar, “Prevention through Balance,” on Tuesday, January 25 from 6 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. via Zoom.
· Middle and High School students and their parents are invited to join the conversation and learn about insomnia symptoms in teenagers, the importance of sleep, and limiting screen time.
· The event will also feature a panel discussion and Q&A with Ken C. Winters, Ph.D., a Senior Scientist at the Oregon Research Institute and a consultant to the National American Indian/Alaska Native Technology Transfer Center; and Iris de Santiago a Library Assistant II in the Instructional Services Department for the Boca Raton Public Libraries.
· This FREE Virtual Webinar will be led by United Way of Broward County’s Commission on Behavioral Health & Drug Prevention’s Youth Action Team.
· Broward County Public Schools middle and high school students can earn community service hours by attending and participating in the virtual discussion for the full duration of the event.
