Don Chepo's, the popular taco shop that opened in Wellington last year, now has a new location in Boca Raton, owned by Juan Gando and Chef Dustin Parfitt.
The restaurant's house-made, street-style tacos and burritos are created for all taste buds, with selections for meat lovers, vegetarians, vegans and even those with gluten allergies. Corn tortillas are made fresh every morning, and vegetables are sourced from local farms.
Enticing menu options include the Tamal al Pastor, served in an open corn husk and topped with a savory sauce, cojita cheese and chopped green onions, and the Chicken Quesadilla, with poblano-marinated chicken and three kinds of cheese.
The eatery comprises 4,200 square feet; lakeside outdoor seating; a festive painted wall; and an expansive bar for enjoying margaritas, beer and other drinks.
Chef Parfitt fine-tuned his culinary talent at venues like The Breakers Palm Beach; Cucina Palm Beach; Whitehorse Tavern; and Oli's Fashion Cuisine, where he was co-owner.
"Smoking the pork for our Tacos al Pastor has to be my favorite thing to do at the moment," he says. "The pork is marinated in our own special blend of chilis and spices and smoked over hickory for eight hours."
Also worth checking out: Taco Tuesday, weekend brunch with bottomless mimosas and Bloody Marys, happy hour - and delectable desserts like fried ice cream, flan and crispy churros with Nutella sauce.
A fiesta awaits.
