There’s something very special about handmade pasta. But Fiola Miami takes this culinary delight to a whole new level.
Thanks to Executive Chef Danny Ganem, diners can now indulge in Pasta Omakase, a multi-course delight sparked by Ganem’s visits to Japan.
“I was inspired by my travels to Japan to create a unique experience with pasta. I loved visiting the omakase restaurants during my trip and thought it would be fun to do something at Fiola that’s different than a regular tasting menu,” he explains.
“When we decided to add Pasta Omakase to the menu, we wanted to create an experience where guests can enjoy some creative dishes and taste small bites of our handmade pastas. Our first iteration of the menu was about making people taste the best that we have had in the menu like Lobster Ravioli and Wagyu Short Rib Lasagna. Some of the new items that started in the Omakase menu have since become staples on the regular menu, like Caviar Carbonara and Artichoke Tortelloni.”
Dishes in the Pasta Omakase experience will change on a regular basis based on seasonal ingredients available, he says. “At the end of the day, we want to highlight dishes that are updated regularly, seasonal, and showcase our techniques.”
The concept was originally planned to last a few months. “But our guests, especially our regulars, absolutely loved it and requested that we keep it running,” Ganem explains.
Wine pairings are also available. “The pairings are designed to let the food take center stage. They complement and add an element to the food that highlights the dishes,” says Head Sommelier and Beverage Manager Daniel Bishop.
