Whether you are looking for breakfast, lunch or dinner, Chimba has it all. Newly opened in Miami’s Midtown, Chimba takes guests through a culinary journey with strong Latin influences ranging from Argentina, Mexico and Peru. Every dish is prepared with care and attention to detail, resulting in a truly wonderful culinary experience.
The restaurant is the brainchild of Argentinian based restaurant group, Grupo Alfoz, which has more than 10 restaurants in Argentina and most recently opened in Tulum, Mexico.
“We’ve always wanted to open Miami because of the strong sense of Latin American culture,” says co-founder and leader of the project, Franco Yannelli. “We couldn’t think of a better place to bring together what both of our countries represent.”
The executive chef, Kevin Acosta, is a Nicaraguan native who studied at Le Cordon Bleu and Mariano Moreno Culinary Institute. The all-day menu features a wide range of items including brunch friendly dishes, homemade empanadas, fresh acai bowls, salads and small to large plates.
Desserts are made in-house and feature Key Lime Tres Leches layered with Key lime custard, Italian meringue and vanilla streusel or the Flan Casero Con Dulce De Leche.
There’s an extensive wine, beer and cocktail menu that includes signature drinks such as the Tereré Collins, Chimba Margarita and the House Tiki.
Eat indoors and admire the abstract art by Argentinian and Mexican artists, Amadeo Seguy and Paulina Guajardo. Or enjoy the outdoors on their patio.
Chimba is located at 2830 N.E. 2nd Ave., Miami. For more information, visit chimbamiami.com.
