We’re always excited when Chef Timon Balloo is creating something new.
His latest: Mrs Balloo, an Asian street food truck brimming with poke and sushi bowls, dumplings and bao buns located at The Wharf Fort Lauderdale.
The truck, serving up goodies Thursdays through Saturdays, will give diners plenty of options, including appetizers like Asian Street Corn, Crispy Panko Shrimp, Pork Dumplings and Bao Buns.
“I’ve been planning an Asian food concept for a long time, inspired by my wife and the flavors we eat at home,” Balloo said in a press release. “When the opportunity to work with Breakwater Hospitality Group presented itself, I thought it would be a great time to be part of such an energetic brand and showcase these vibrant ingredients and flavors.”
Pan-Asian entrée bowls feature fresh fish and vegetables. Among the offerings: The Crispy Rice bowl with crunchy bits of cooked rice, fresh green onion, sweet soy and chili mayo with tuna and the savory Dynamite Shrimp, brimming with shrimp, rice or crisp greens with cucumber, green onion and eel sauce. Chef Balloo’s Classic Poke bowl features tuna atop rice or crunchy greens with cucumber, red onion and poke soy sauce.
Mrs Balloo is located at 20 W. Las Olas Blvd., Fort Lauderdale. For more information, visit Instagram @mrsballoo and @thewharfftl.
