Verde restaurant, located inside the Pérez Art Museum Miami, has a new executive chef who brings with him a locally sourced and seasonal menu inspired by the rotating art exhibitions showcased throughout the season.
You may recognize the name Loris Navone who won Bravo TV’s “Best New Restaurant” competition for Dolce Italian at Miami Beach’s Gale Hotel while Chef de Cuisine in 2015.
“Loris’ dedication to sustainable food and his global experience brings a new and unique perspective to Verde’s spring menu,” says Adelee Cabrera, VP of operations for Constellation Culinary Group, which operates restaurants in various other cultural art locations including the Norton Museum of Art and the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, among others.
The updated menu includes Miso-Roasted Salmon, Verde Risotto (a new signature dish) as well as Brick Chicken, a long time favorite. New items include Roasted Sunchokes, Grilled Baby Bok Choy, Tomatoes and Stracciatella as well as a pizza called First Love which includes Stracciatella cheese, tomato sauce, prosciutto ham, arugula and a sun-dried tomato puree.
Verde offers diners sweeping views of Biscayne Bay from its outdoor veranda. It also has an indoor dining room offering lunch. Brunch is served on the weekend.
It’s the perfect place to end on a high note after a day of viewing art. Or start the day with a bite and then head off to view the exhibits.
