Co-owners Sam Gorenstein and Omer Horev recently expanded their Israeli-inspired Mediterranean restaurant into Aventura. With the original concept open about three years in Miami Beach’s South-of-Fifth neighborhood, the two answered calls from guests to take their restaurant a little further north near the Aventura Mall.
The full-service restaurant, which is twice as big as the Miami Beach location and features a chef’s counter, will be led by Executive Chef Marcelo Palacios. While the menu has many of the offerings from the original restaurant, it also showcases an expanded selection like the chopped Israeli salad and roasted beets and avocado salad, pan-roasted halloumi mezze and caviar and chips. For the lunch crowd, sandwiches such as the chicken schnitzel and house smoked beef pastrami are new additions. New main dishes include the salt-crusted local whole red snapper and bone-in prime ribeye, along with sides such as the za’atar hand-cut fries, grilled broccolini and roasted maitake mushroom.
Abbale Telavivian Kitchen is located at 2956 N.E. 199th St., Aventura. For more information, visit abbaletlv.com.
