From classic and creative sushi rolls and nigiri to surf and turf and wagyu beef dishes, Ōsumi Cocktail & Sushi Bar offers Japanese dishes with a Latin flair.
Located in the heart of Coral Gables, Ōsumi spans 4,000 square feet, including an outdoor area, a 21-seat bar area and an intimate 15-seat VIP section.
“We’ve created a space where fine dining meets casual comfort, a place where every visit is an occasion. Coral Gables is the perfect backdrop for Ōsumi, reflecting our commitment to quality in all aspects of hospitality in a neighborhood known for its discerning taste,” says co-owner Hernan Santarcangelo, who also was the project architect.
In addition to rolls, the menu includes dishes such as Halibut Coconut Miso, served with coconut curry sauce, miso crust and black garlic crackers; Gochudare Ribs, Gochujang-based pork ribs paired with yuzu coleslaw; and Tako a la Brasa, Gochujang-marinated grilled octopus served with potatoes.
For the afternoon crowd, check out the executive lunch menu, offering an entrée or an entrée and appetizer. There’s also an extensive drink menu featuring cocktails, craft beers and wine, as well as a happy hour where smaller bites can be enjoyed.
Imbibers may benefit from the restaurant’s liquor bottle purchasing program, where patrons can buy a bottle and store it in one of the 28 lockers for future visits.
