Mynt Lounge is a staple of the South Beach nightlife scene, known for attracting celebrity guests and high rollers.
So you can expect a similar crowd at the club’s new sister venue, Myn-Tu, a restaurant-slash-lounge open for dinner Thursday through Saturday until 2 a.m.
The 2,500-square-foot space has dining for 80 – who no doubt will be mesmerized by the stylish décor, like LED-infused mirrors on the ceiling and walls, an open kitchen, black marble dining tables and white leather booths.
At Myn-Tu, Japanese and Vietnamese flavors are given a French twist by Executive Chef Meryl Villacorta and sushi master Seiya Noborikawa. Start with the Asian Tacos, with lobster or tuna, yuzu tofu avocado and crispy wonton. The main entrées are equally appealing, such as the Saigon Nems Mynt, with rice paper, pork tenderloin and vermicelli noodles, or the slowly roasted French Orange Duck, with mandarin orange sauce. Craft cocktails were designed to complement the fusion menu.
The restaurant, by entrepreneur Romain Zago, is open Mondays for Tantric, a sultry dinner reminiscent of a French cabaret.
Myn-Tu is located at 1905 Collins Ave., Miami Beach. For more information, call 786-216-7790 or visit myn-tu.com.
