With established restaurants in Washington, D.C., and New York City, celebrity chef José Andrés is bringing Zaytinya to The Ritz-Carlton, South Beach. The small plates menu is inspired by Turkish, Greek and Lebanese cuisines.
Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, the menu offers a variety of spreads, from Hummus and Tzatziki to Baba Ghannouge.
There’s a wide range of vegetable dishes like Patate Tiganites, crispy potatoes, house mushroom salt, roasted garlic and yogurt; Mushroom Kapnistá, smoked mushrooms, dates, roasted walnuts, cumin and labne; and Bantijian Bil Laban, crispy eggplant, garlic yogurt, Turmeric apricots, roasted walnuts and mint.
The seafood menu includes Octopus Santorini, grilled Mediterranean octopus, marinated onions, capers and yellow split pea purée; Seared Salmon with tahini sauce, roasted sweet peppers, tomato and urfa pepper; and Garides Me Anitho, sautéed shrimp, dill, shallots, mustard and lemon juice.
The meat and poultry meu offers Beef Soutzoukakia, cumin spiced meatballs in tomato sauce scented with cinnamon, feta and capers; Adana Kebab, ground lamb, grilled tomatoes, sumac, harissa pita and pickled chiles; and Shish Taouk, grilled chicken skewer, sumac, onions, garlic toum and grilled tomato.
The breakfast menu is extensive with everything from Greek yogurt to smoked salmon on a bagel.
A mix of specialty cocktails, wine and beer are available. For the teetotaler, there’s Turkish coffee and tea, fresh juice and cold brew.
