There are now three new reasons to visit Miami Beach thanks to the iconic Firestone Garage on Alton Road.
The venues — created by David Grutman’s Groot Hospitality — will offer everything from sushi to ice cream.
Winkler’s Diner will serve up classic diner dishes (think all-day breakfast, soups and oversized sandwiches). The décor? A blast from the past with classic teal round pullman booths, a peninsula bar and wooden tabletops lined with stainless-steel edges.
Sushi Fly Chicken’s menu — and ambiance — has a different twist. Here you’ll find a selection of signature negiri, maki, a nightly omakase experience, signature Korean fried chicken, handmade dumplings, fried rice and ramen.
And that stainless steel door? It doesn’t lead to the kitchen. Behind it lies a backroom lounge created to replicate Japan’s Golden Gai neighborhood. On tap you’ll discover inventive cocktails, Japanese whiskeys and sake.
Toothfairy is the place for all things sweet — soft serve ice cream, decadent cakes, cookies and more. Pastry Chef Dallas Wynne (from Stubborn Seed fame) is creating dishes that look like works of art along with classic sweets.
The venues will be located at 1569 Alton Road, Miami Beach. For more information, visit sushiflychicken.com, winklersdiner.com or toothfairybakery.com.
