Delray Beach’s favorite Lebanese hotspot, Amar Mediterranean Bistro, is reopening on Nov. 1 as Amar Mediterranean Kitchen & Bar. Located just steps from its original spot, the revamped space will now feature outdoor dining, additional seating and a full bar.
This new chapter for Amar Mediterranean Kitchen & Bar stays true to its culinary roots while introducing an expanded menu, blending beloved classics with exciting new dishes inspired by owner Nicolas Kurban’s Lebanese heritage. Guests can still enjoy crowd-pleasers like cold and hot mezze, grilled meats, fresh fish and delectable homemade desserts.
“The way the community has embraced us is nothing short of spectacular. We have loved our first home here on the Avenue, but we’ve outgrown the space for Amar, and we’ve always dreamed of having a bar where people can come for happy hour or a solo dinner while enjoying a great cocktail,” says Kurban. “With the expertise of our beverage consultant, Eric Hammer, we’ve curated an exceptional cocktail menu and an eclectic wine list featuring outstanding Lebanese wines and other gems. The new space will also allow us to host semi-private events and eventually expand our hours to lunch and brunch.”
Signature dishes to look forward to include Hummus with Chicken Shawarma, Falafel, Grilled Haloumi Cheese, Mediterranean Shrimp Skillet, Pan Roasted Atlantic Salmon and Kafta Kebab — charbroiled ground beef and lamb skewers served with Toum (garlic whip) and rice. Sweet treats range from traditional Knafeh For 2 and Baklava to Almond Date Tart and Dark Chocolate & Fig Tart.
Enhancing the experience is a complete bar program featuring enticing cocktails made with seasonal fruits, housemade syrups and premium spirits. Guests can savor creative twists on classic drinks and enjoy signature offerings that capture the vibrant flavors of the Mediterranean.
