Whiskey lovers and connoisseurs can look forward to WhiskyFest, one of North America’s premier whiskey extravaganzas, taking place at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood on Oct. 26.
Organized by the Whiskey Advocate magazine — America’s leading authority on whiskey — the festival provides a unique opportunity to sample a diverse array of whiskeys from around the globe. Attendees can explore single malt and blended Scotch, Irish, Tennessee, Japanese and Canadian spirits, along with bourbon, rye and craft-distilled varieties, all while learning firsthand from experts at their distinguished pouring booths.
Adding to the excitement are a series of Master Classes highlighting the artistry behind some of the world’s finest whiskeys. Available throughout the evening, these classes will feature world-renowned distillers and esteemed members of the whiskey community. One notable class, “Bruichladdich: Challenging Conversations with Four Iconic Whiskies,” from 8:00-8:45 p.m., offers insights into Scotland’s famous Bruichladdich Distillery. Hosted by Abi Clephane, Bruichladdich’s global ambassador, the session will also provide tastings of the brand’s iconic Bruichladdich Eighteen and Octomore 15.3.
Another highlight is “Heaven Hill: Elijah Craig Brand Family Tasting,” scheduled from 7:00-7:45 p.m. Led by artisanal distiller Jodie Filiatreau, this session will delve into the legacy of Elijah Craig, aka the Father of Bourbon. Participants will also enjoy tastings of the brand’s traditional Small Batch and Barrel Proof Bourbon, bottled straight from the barrel, culminating in an exclusive opportunity to savor Elijah Craig 18-year-old, one of Kentucky’s oldest Bourbon.
Other highly acclaimed spirits featured at the festival will include Buchanan’s, Dewar’s, Fuji Whisky, Glen Scotia, Johnnie Walker, Loch Lomond, Sagamore Sprit, Two Stacks and Yellow Spot, ensuring there’s something to please every whiskey lover.
