Are you up for a night of laughs? Head to the Broward Center for the Performing Arts June 13-25 for “Beetlejuice,” the critically acclaimed musical comedy, part of the Bank of America Broadway series.
Based on the 1988 Tim Burton film, it tells the story of an unusual teenager who is haunted by the ghost of Beetlejuice, a mischievous demon.
An eight-time Tony Award nominee, “Beetlejuice” has a history-making run on Broadway following the release of the musical’s original cast recording and the show’s Tony Awards presentation in 2019, which had over three million views, according to a press release.
Considered, “A jaw-dropping funhouse” by The New York Times, “Screamingly good fun” by Variety and, “A Feast for the Eyes and Soul” by Entertainment Weekly, expect to leave the show wanting to play its 18 music tracks on repeat.
The cast includes Justin Collette, Isabella Esler, Britney Coleman, Will Burton, Jesse Sharp and Kate Marille. It is directed by Tony Award winner Alex Timbers, with an original score by Tony Award nominee Eddie Perfect, music supervision and orchestrations by Kris Kukul and choreography by Connor Gallagher.
