Downtown Delray Beach is no stranger to unique events.
But when hundreds of witches take to the streets, it’s something to see. Mark your calendar for Oct. 30 and be sure to be there from 7:30–11:30 a.m. to witness the 10th Annual Witches of Delray Bike Ride.
The “witches” and their bikes — both decked out in all kinds of witch-ware — will start their ride at Delray Beach City Hall. It all ends at the Old School Square Outdoor Pavilion Stage, where awards will be given for “Best Costume,” “Best Witch Cackle,” “Best Decorated Bike” and “Best Group Theme.”
The event benefits the Delray Beach-based Achievement Centers for Children & Families, a community-based organization dedicated to serving under-resourced children and families.
“Early Learning (Toddler and Preschool), Out-of-School (After School and Summer Camp) and Teen Mentoring programs prepare them for academic and social success and empower them to discover their talents,” according to a press release. “ACCF serves families through Family Support and Economic Stabilization services which benefit the community by stabilizing families in crisis, enabling them to serve as the foundation of their child’s growth.”
