New York actress and Florida native Allyson Rosenblum makes her way back to her homeland to present “Room to Blum: A Journey of Growth & A Return To One’s Roots.” The musical, which tells her experience living in another city while trying to succeed as a performer, will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 20 at the Arts Garage in Delray Beach.
According to the event’s website, Rosenblum’s story will take us from Florida to New York City before and after the COVID-19 pandemic, showing how, in a time of uncertainty, she was able to thrive and, ultimately, pursue her true passion: performing.
“From recalling the crazy pace of New York City, knowing someone striving to ‘make it’ as an actor, relating to the struggles of today’s dating culture, and the importance of pursuing one’s passion, there’s something for everyone to relate to in Room to Blum,” says the event website.
