With October’s spooky season upon us, Delray Beach is gearing up for one of its most cherished and eagerly awaited annual events: “Halloween Town.” The festive day is scheduled for Oct. 26 and invites locals and visitors alike to don their spookiest costumes, adorn their entryways with Halloween decorations and dive into a fun-packed day of family-friendly activities.
Festivities kick off at 7 a.m. with the 13th Annual Witch Ride for Charity, a bike ride raising funds for the Achievement Centers for Children and Families. Over 300 participants dressed in their most enchanting witch attire will pedal their extravagantly decorated bikes — resembling brooms — down Atlantic Avenue. The Delray Beach Police Department will lead the crowd, culminating with an awards presentation for “Best Decorated Bike,” “Best Witch Costume” and “Best Witch Cackle.”
Following the bike ride, visitors can enjoy trick-or-treating with merchants along Atlantic Avenue, as well as the city’s 61st Annual Halloween Parade. Organized by the Rotary Club of Delray Beach, attendees are able to showcase their creative costumes as they make their way to Old School Square. From noon to 4 p.m., Kidsfest at the Square will provide food, shopping, arts and crafts, live entertainment and much more. Don’t miss out on this spooktacular event!
