We’re all homeward bound these days – and missing everything from concerts to movies.
To the rescue: Arts Garage, the Delray Beach hotspot known for its diverse shows, introduces the series “Music at Home: Live from Arts Garage.”
Tune in to the concert livestream on Sept. 16 at 7 p.m. to discover musicians and Sarasota residents Ariella McManus and Nicolaas Kraster, who infuse funk, jazz and samba with blues, soul and tango. The duo, which has performed at the Blue Note Jazz Club in New York City, just released a new single, “Terrified.”
“‘Music at Home: Live from Arts Garage’ gives music lovers the best of both worlds – they can watch the concert from the comfort of home while interacting live and in real time with multi-talented performers,” says Marjorie Waldo, president and CEO of Arts Garage, in a press release.
“The audience can comment during the concert, and we’ll make sure the performers know what is being said. They might even respond live. It is as close to being at a live convert as possible under the current pandemic difficulties.”
Arts Garage, which has temporarily closed its doors, is determined to keep the beat alive, says Waldo: “We refuse to let this virus stop the truly transformative power of music and art from giving us joy and hope and help to heal all that is broken. If ever there has been a time for healing, it’s right now.” O
