Explore the wonders of human anatomy and the ultimate discoveries in science and health with “Superhuman Body: World of Medical Marvels,” a 40-minute documentary being screened at AutoNation IMAX 3D Theater inside Fort Lauderdale’s Museum of Discovery and Science.
Narrated by Academy Award winner Matthew McConaughey, “Superhuman Body” delves into the inner workings of the human anatomy and highlights incredible breakthroughs in science and bioengineering that are transforming human health.
The documentary is told through the inspiring stories of researchers, scientists and real-life individuals such as Ty Duckett, an adaptive surfer who underwent an above-the-knee amputation; James Garrett, a former flight nurse and accomplished rock climber who received a groundbreaking, noninvasive heart procedure; Emily Whitehead, a teen whose childhood leukemia was treated through revolutionary CAR T-Cell immunotherapy, as well as the scientists behind these clinical advancements, including Dr. Ayanna Howard, whose company, Zyrobotics, develops therapies and products for children with special needs.
“Combining state-of-the-art CGI [computer-generated imagery] with live-action cinematography and the immersive giant screen experience, ‘Superhuman Body’ will inspire you, move you and empower you — you’ll be amazed at what your superhuman body can do,” notes the museum’s website.
“Superhuman Body: World of Medical Marvels” is playing at AutoNation IMAX 3D Theater until December.
