What could be better than a Rolling Stones concert billed as No Filter?
Mark your calendars for April 20 at 7:30 p.m. when Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens welcomes this iconic band – which proves that age is just a number.
The concert would have to last days for them to play all their hits, from “Satisfaction” and “Time is On My Side” to “Paint It Black” and several hundred others. But that’s what happens when a band endures for more than half a century.
While that reality makes the band members proud, it also gives them pause, according to their website: “When the nascent Rolling Stones began playing gigs around London in 1962, the notion that a rock ’n’ roll band would last five years, let alone 50, was an absurdity. After all, what could possibly be more ephemeral than rock ’n’ roll, the latest teenage fad?”
The effusive Keith Richards adds: “I didn’t expect to last until 50 myself, let alone with the Stones.”
While their music is stellar, the Stones are equally known for their onstage theatrics. Expect to see high-energy antics from Richards and nonstop swagger from Mick Jagger. Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood are no slouches, either, giving their all from start to finish.
We think UltimateClassicRock.com summed it up best: “They’ve been called the greatest rock ’n’ roll band in the world, and for good reason: Nobody has done it better, and for as long, as the Rolling Stones.”
