There’s something mesmerizing about glass. Perhaps it’s the spellbinding way it sparkles or how the light plays off its surfaces.
For the ultimate in glass viewing, visit The Boca Raton Museum of Art where the “Glasstress Boca Raton 2021” exhibit can be viewed through Sept. 5. The museum, which has been showcasing creativity for more than 70 years and is considered the “Official Art Museum of the City of Boca Raton,” has plenty of light to view the works, a sequel to the 2016 “Glasstress” exhibit.
“This exhibition of new projects showcases over 30 international artists who have created works in glass in collaboration with the master glass artisans at Berengo Studio on the island of Murano in the Venetian lagoon,” notes the museum’s website.
“Berengo Studio was founded in 1989 by Adriano Berengo, who forged a new path for art made with glass by testing the boundaries of contemporary glass-making with an inventive new approach. Starting in 2009, he launched “Glasstress” as a collateral exhibition at the Venice Biennale by inviting important international artists to Murano to collaborate with skilled glass masters to create evocative works of art.”
