As a community-based humanitarian organization, the South Florida Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors. We respond approximately every 20 hours to emergencies and disasters across the region—home fires, wildfires, floods, and weather related emergencies—and more, providing shelter, food, clothing and emotional support at no cost to those in need.
South Florida Red Cross is comprised of four chapters: Broward County, Greater Miami & The Keys, Palm Beach & Treasure Coast and Florida Gulf Coast to Heartland. Together, these chapters serve a population of nearly 8 million people across 13 counties.
