With views of the Atlantic Ocean and the Boca Raton beaches just 1.8 miles away, FAU Stadium offers one of the nation's most unique, tropical settings for college football in paradise.
Opened in 2011, FAU Stadium seats 30,000 for football and the pristine natural grass playing surface is surrounded by palm trees in the southwest corners of the stadium. The stadium features multiple premium seating options, including traditional luxury suites in the west tower, along with field-level cabana seating, and two different lounge areas -- an indoor club and an open-air luxury deck.
The playing surface was named Howard Schnellenberger Field and dedicated on August 20, 2014 in honor of the legendary coach who founded the Owls program. Schnellenberger spent the final 11 seasons of his coaching career at FAU, retiring after the 2011 season.
