Giving Oxygen. Restoring Hope.
Founded in 2014 and headquartered in Delray Beach, the HOW Foundation improves the quality of life for individuals, families, and communities by advocating for and providing access to life-changing hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT). HOW Foundation serves veterans and student athletes across the United States. HBOT is provided through partnerships with credentialed, certified hyperbaric oxygen therapy treatment centers.
Our Programs:
HOW Foundation’s Veteran Investment Program serves our nation’s military and veterans by helping them recover from invisible wounds of war such as traumatic brain injuries and post-traumatic stress. It is estimated that approximately 22% of returning veterans suffer from traumatic brain injuries and approximately 18% suffer from post-traumatic stress. The need in our community is great: more veterans have died by suicide than from combat. Despite this subset of veterans being considered as high risk for suicidality, HOW Foundation has not lost one veteran to suicide in their 9 years of operation. To date, they also boast a 98% successful rehabilitation rate.
Beyond our Warriors, HOW Foundation has been motivated by the rising suicide rate amongst our youth to launch our Concussed Student Athlete Program. This program supports athletic youths by helping them recover from invisible head hits experienced whilst partaking in their sports they love.
