The mission of SLAM is to provide an innovative and in-depth secondary educational program that produces college-bound students through emphasis on sports-related majors and post-secondary preparation.

The school philosophy is the mechanism through which the mission will be achieved. In order to produce college bound and career-oriented graduates, the school believes it must provide Rigor, Relevance, and Relationships in the educational program.
About Us
SLAM is a nonprofit network of public charter schools serving students in grades K-12 throughout the nation. Our purpose is to prepare students for post secondary careers through innovative educational programs sports- related themes and experiential learning.
At SLAM, students in grades 6-12 prepare for post-secondary careers through academies in Sports Medicine, Sports Broadcasting, Sports Marketing, Entertainment, Arts and Management. The educational program integrates sports-related themes into a rigorous curriculum to engage and motivate students.

SLAM also provides students with unique access to career mentors and internships through educational partnerships with local and national organizations. High school students also have the opportunity to earn college credit through SLAM’s robust dual enrollment and advanced placement programs.
SLAM is accredited by AdvancED under the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS-CASI) division.
