Neil “The Heel” Glazier got into the wrestling world in a roundabout way. A lifelong fan, the Long Island native spent 25 years in banking. Over the years, he attended wrestling shows, as if it was his job. After the COVID-19 shutdown, he and his partner (Real Estate Broker Matthew Maschler) decided that they would run local wrestling shows in the Boca Raton community.
Today he is the executive vice president for Boca Raton Championship Wrestling (BRCW). He wears many hats in this role. He is the host of the show. He runs social media. He devises storylines for the shows. He oversees events. He hosts a weekly YouTube show where you can watch matches, interviews and event commentary.
In May 2022, a contest was held to determine the BRCW World Heavyweight Champion. Hailing from Leogane, Haiti, Moniti Romain became the inaugural BRCW World Heavyweight Champion. Lakay, as he is known, has performed all over the world and was trained by WWE legend, The Vampire Warrior, Gangrel.
Lakay hopes to inspire anyone with a dream. When he arrived in America, he fell in love with wrestling. He says he’s been wanting to wrestle all his life. Now, he’s proving to Boca Raton, the world and the children out there who look up to him, that they can be a champion like him.
BRCW puts on shows in Boca Raton which feature top wrestling talent from across the country. Wrestlers include former WWE talent as well as Hall of Fame legends and current stars from companies like NXT, AEW, MLW and Impact Wrestling. So far, they’ve put on three sellout shows. “Wrestlers always say that we’re the best professional wrestling promotion to work for,” says Glazier. “Our production value is top notch.”
BRCW’s next event is called March Madhouse and will be held on March 12. It will feature Tyrus from Fox News (known in the WWE as Brodus Clay), the winner of the January match between 7-foot tall, No. 1 contender Jack Talos versus the BRCW Heavyweight Champion Lakay. The show will also feature WWE Legend Brutus “The Barber” Beefcake and reality TV star Mark Long.
