Tasha K. Dickinson
Delivering Comprehensive Legal Services With Client-Focused Thinking®
When Day Pitney merged with Richman Greer in January 2019, it significantly expanded its presence in Florida.
It extended its litigation and private client capabilities and its geographic footprint by adding offices in Miami and West Palm Beach — and its headcount by tripling the number of Florida attorneys. The firm has continued to bolster its capabilities in the Sunshine State, particularly its bet-the-company litigation, trusts and estates, family office and real estate capabilities.
One of the new attorneys is Tasha K. Dickinson, who joined Day Pitney as a partner in the Private Clients department in West Palm Beach the following January, expanding the firm’s bench of capabilities with sophisticated estate planning and administration. She has extensive experience with complex wealth preservation strategies, business succession planning, residency planning for clients migrating to Florida and charitable planning for high net worth individuals and families, as well as family offices. Dickinson also represents fiduciaries in complicated estate and trust administration matters.
This January, Sandra Ferrera, a seasoned real estate attorney, joined the firm as a partner in Coral Gables to expand the firm’s high-end residential and commercial real estate practice throughout Florida, including Palm Beach County.
“Tasha and Sandy are tremendous additions to our team. They share our goals and exhibit the perfect mix of experience, excellent client service and established business and legal networks,” said Day Pitney Florida Managing Partner Manuel A. Garcia-Linares.
Day Pitney has advised family-owned and controlled businesses for more than 100 years. It offers clients extensive knowledge in sophisticated wealth planning, including the preservation and tax efficient transfer of wealth, change of domicile, international estate planning and planning for non-U.S. citizens, along with the full suite of legal services for family offices and principals, executives, and family members in complex U.S. and international matters.
Day Pitney’s client base of wealthy individuals and middle-market businesses has been relocating to Florida, attracted by the warm climate and lack of state income tax. It also includes Latin American and other international clients in the family office, trusts and estates, real estate and investment management space.
Day Pitney is now positioned better than ever to serve them. The firm, which also has offices in Boca Raton and Delray Beach, continues to evaluate its options to bolster its talent in Florida to better serve clients.
Day Pitney LLP has locations in Boca Raton, West Palm Beach, Delray Beach and Coral Gables. For more information, call 561-272-1225 or visit daypitney.com.
