Jess Pearl and Melissa Frielich
Communications Agency
According to business partners Melissa Frielich and Jess Pearl, three words that epitomize today’s executive in chief are confidence, determination and influence. “Fearless” is how we would describe these young power players, who launched their creative communications agency at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Frielich, a marketing wizard with more than 25 years of hospitality experience who spearheaded events for Sub-Culture Group, the South Florida restaurant, bar and nightlife behemoth, conceived the idea for a new business while the entertainment industry was largely shut down. Seeing an opportunity to connect brands with customers online, she approached Pearl, a sought-after lifestyle influencer and choreographer, about joining forces.
In 2020, the Essentials Group was born. Today, the dynamic duo services close to 30 clients between South Florida, New Jersey and New York in such fields as hospitality, consumer goods and financial services. Their myriad offerings include content creation, influencer marketing and event planning. Recently, they opened a professional photo studio at their Lake Worth Beach offices to facilitate shoots with their clients while providing an additional revenue stream as a rental space for outside vendors.
“We each bring a distinct skill set to this partnership,” explains Frielich, a self-described big-picture person who enjoys watching her projects grow from concept to completion. “Jess is a talented writer, photographer, and visualizer. She brings that certain “je ne sais quoi” our clients are looking for. Together, we tell their stories with authenticity and focus on portraying the soul of the brand.”
Pearl adds, “At the end of the day, our values and goals align completely. And collaboration is always key. We work closely with our clients as part of their creative team, proceeding with total honesty and open communication to best promote their services, heighten awareness and increase market share.”
Forming and maintaining relationships are at the heart of what they do and their success as a company reflects that. Essentials Group has grown organically with referrals from happy clients, people who admire their work on Instagram and other social media outlets, and colleagues who often know a business that could benefit from their services.
“We have been blessed,” Frielich says. “We are active in a community that we love and doing creatively fulfilling work with collaborative clients that we consider family.”
