Jorge Garcia Enjoys Delivering Creative Architectural Solutions
If you are looking for a fresh and exciting project design, architects GarciaStromberg are ready to pull out their sketchpads and find a creative solution.
“We challenge ourselves with each project,” says Jorge Garcia, founder and CEO of GarciaStromberg – GS4Studios in West Palm Beach. “If you’re looking for an innovative concept, we are the firm.”
From billion-dollar resorts to social interest housing, Garcia and business partner Peter Stromberg share ideas with the firm’s 44-person professional team and utilize advanced 3-D modeling and holographic imaging technology as well as good old-fashioned hand sketching to bring their designs to life.
“We can talk for an hour about a new project and quickly turn our thoughts into initial sketches into finished designs,” Garcia says. “That’s one of the reasons for our success through the years.”
A native of Cuba, Garcia became interested in architecture at an early age, watching his Architect uncle Dario draw architectural designs, artwork and cartoons. After coming to the United States in 1962, he earned an architecture degree at the University of Miami and worked with several leading firms in South Florida. In the 1980s, he became director of architecture, land planning and product development for FPA Corporation, a national developer.
In 1987, Garcia moved to Boca Raton, where he soon opened his own firm; married his wife, Katina; and raised a family. Early clients included Wayne Huizenga, who hired GarciaStromberg to design the Floridian Golf Club and provide construction management. The firm also designed the first three high-rise residential towers in Panama City, Panama, and continues to work with clients throughout the Caribbean.
Closer to home, GarciaStromberg’s projects include 1000 Ocean, City Furniture at Boca Airport and Alina in Boca as well as the Gale and Pier 66 resorts in Fort Lauderdale.
“We have a great team of young and experienced designers, and we enjoy collaborating with other architects and firms,” says Garcia. “We really enjoy delivering uniqueness to our clients!”
