Dedicated To A High Level Of Client Service
Gerson Preston’s roots run deep and long in Florida, opening its doors to clients 60 years ago.
The firm has grown organically, never buying or merging with another practice. Yes, the firm may be large. Still, you’ll get a hands-on, boutique-style approach.
“We’re a team that’s been together a long time. We’ve grown up together,” says Steven Klein, CPA, senior partner transitioning to manager partner, who has more than 30 years of public accounting experience. “We’re dedicated to a high level of client service. There is no siloing here. Everyone works together.”
You won’t feel like a number there. In fact, Klein’s digits will be saved as a favorite in your phone. That’s because, despite modern technology, he meets with clients regularly and encourages them to reach out with questions, concerns or simply to connect.
Clients typically are entrepreneurial folks with high net worth or privately held companies requiring audit and related tax services – both with sophisticated tax needs and requiring solid representation. The firm also boasts a strong international practice that can handle a client’s tax issues all under one roof.
“We cover the bases whether it be sophisticated tax services for the active or retired entrepreneur, estate planning and family wealth legacy, the entrepreneur’s U.S. or internationally based businesses, auditing and other reporting to lenders or investors, forensics, advising on mergers and acquisitions, or what have you. We present a united front in a coordinated way,” he says. “We have a chemistry that’s terrific.”
Klein graduated from New York University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting with honors. He began his career at a multinational accounting firm in New York and joined Gerson Preston in 1988.
He’s a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Florida Institute of CPAs and has taught continuing CPA professional- education and exam-preparation courses. Klein also participates in charitable causes, including serving on the Diabetes Research Institute board.
