In the interior design industry, Jayson Friedman stands out as a visionary leader at the helm of Interiors By Brown. Friedman’s journey into interior design began in his childhood. He grew up in the furniture business. Friedman’s family owned the well-known Carl’s furniture stores, where he worked until 2012. He then joined Interiors By Brown in Boca Raton as CEO.
Founded by Steve and Dana Brown, Interiors By Brown has been in Boca Raton for 45 years. Dana Brown, the current owner, works in the firm every day in partnership with Friedman, adding to company culture. Her support in Friedman’s leadership has created the version of Interiors By Brown we see today.
The firm has continued the legacy of the late Steve Brown through a client-centered approach, emphasizing collaboration and personalization.
“Interiors By Brown is not just about aesthetics,” says Friedman. “We believe in more important things. Things like how your space functions, how it feels and most importantly how it defines you.”
The firm has integrated cutting-edge tools into their workflow including 3D renderings and virtual walkthroughs. These tools allow clients to visualize their spaces before construction begins.
“Technology enhances our creativity,” Friedman explains. “It allows clients to be more involved in the design process, ensuring their vision is brought to life.”
The pandemic posed significant challenges for the industry, altering the ways people saw their spaces. The firm navigated these changes with agility, offering virtual services and implementing critical process changes to work remotely. Friedman credits his team for coming together during this time and creating more efficient processes that pushed the company forward.
Friedman envisions technology playing a larger role in the business to enhance the overall client experience. “We want to continue to define how our clients are able to interact with us and their spaces.”
Plans for expansion into a new market are in the works. As Interiors By Brown continues to grow and adapt, one thing remains clear: the future remains bright.
