Debbie Miller
Bathroom and Kitchen Design
The go-to company for high-end bathroom and kitchen design, products, fixtures and cabinet hardware, Millers Elegant Hardware & Plumbing is now busier than ever with the explosion of home construction and home remodels that increased during the pandemic.
Debbie Miller, not only sustained her family-owned business through the COVID-19 pandemic, she led the team by focusing on all employees’ health, happiness and well-being.
“I’m very proud that the culture we created was responsible for all of us staying afloat,” Miller says. “Everybody was recognized for their importance in the company, and we never lost an employee. The expectations of our customers are high, and we recreated how we do business, going live on Instagram, making sure that clients knew that we could do Zoom consultations or FaceTime.”
Miller says pandemic products here to stay revolve around technology and safety in kitchen fixtures as well as making life easier for entertaining at home.
The Galley sink, which has caddy-like workstations to lay dishes or provide another surface for meal prep, has been in demand for at-home entertainers. Fixtures that help stop the spread of bacteria, including antimicrobial cabinet pulls and switches as well as faucets with touch technology that turn on water simply with a tap, became bestsellers.
These products and more — ranging from tubs, toilets and bathroom vanities, towel bars, mirrors, kitchen faucets, sinks, carbonated water systems and hundreds of cabinet hardware — are on display at the Millers Elegant Hardware & Plumbing showroom, open Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m.–5 p.m. Items are arranged by room in vignettes that let clients envision the products in their home. While appointments are recommended, walk-ins are welcome to peruse thousands of choices and connect with a design consultant.
Miller says her company is a true community business and the personal relationships with clients have kept Millers Elegant Hardware & Plumbing in demand for more than 50 years.
“We have always thrived on a culture of caring,” she says. “The pandemic allowed our customers to understand that we are doing the right thing by our company and for each other.”
