ChildNet’s Care For Kids Luncheon Set

Annual Event Honors Advocates, Raises Funds To Support Foster Children

Larry Rein and Dr. Heidi Schaeffer

ChildNet is hosting its 8th annual “Care for Kids” Luncheon Feb. 28 at 11 a.m. at the Woodfield Country Club.

The luncheon is an opportunity for the community to rally behind ChildNet, Palm Beach County’s Community-Based Care lead agency that protects abused, abandoned and neglected children in the community and foster care system.

During the Luncheon, ChildNet will present Dr. Heidi Schaeffer with the Champion for Children Award in recognition of her outstanding support of ChildNet and its commitment to Palm Beach County’s children in foster care and Marsh McLennan Agency will be honored with the Community Advocate Award for its ongoing efforts to advocate, educate and volunteer on behalf of the children ChildNet serves.

All funds raised from the “Care for Kids” event will provide ChildNet the flexibility to prioritize the needs of our youth and caregivers and take advantage of opportunities that arise and react to unforeseen challenges.
