Jewish Women’s Foundation To Announce 2019 Grants At Cocktail Reception

The Jewish Women’s Foundation (JWF) of South Palm Beach County will host its 2019 Granting Wishes event on March 12 at Boca Rio Golf Club in Boca Raton.

Guests will be the first to learn about JWF’s 2019 grant awards, and they’ll also hear from noted educator, businesswoman and social entrepreneur Barbara Greenspan Shaiman.

“We are proud to welcome all women from across the Jewish community to celebrate our grant awards,” says Miriam Atzmon, who is co-chairing the evening with Alana Hoch. “Like the JWF, our speaker has a powerful story and is passionately dedicated to hands-on philanthropy and empowering others to create social change. We’ll also honor Alice Kemper for her extraordinary six years of strategic leadership as JWF chair and welcome Randi Rubenstein as rising chair.”

Adds Hoch: “Our guests will further discover the deep rewards of being part of a like-minded group that helps so many through the grants we fund. Over 15 years, our JWF members, called trustees, have awarded more than $1.2 million to initiatives that help women and children achieve social and economic equality in our community and in Israel. These dollars are all donations from [trustees], who together study and select the programs to fund. We look forward to attracting more and younger women into our JWF as we turn our attention to the future with new approaches to our creative philanthropy.”

The Granting Wishes Reception will offer an array of hors d’oeuvres, food stations, desserts and wine, with dietary laws observed. The Boca Raton Observer is the event’s exclusive magazine sponsor. O
