Go Pink Luncheon Set For October 21

18th Annual Luncheon Turns The Spotlight On Cancer Genetics

Professional Golfer Morgan Pressel

Boca Raton Regional Hospital Foundation is celebrating its 18th Annual Go Pink Luncheon Oct. 21 at The Boca Raton with keynote speaker, Derek Hough. This year, Mark Larkin, President of Boca Raton Regional Hospital Foundation, will be joined on stage with Morgan Pressel, professional golfer, major champion and TV analyst, to emcee the event.

For the past several years, the luncheon has featured a live fund-a-need component that allows attendees to make online donations from their cellphones towards a chosen initiative at the hospital. Our fund-a-need for Go Pink 2022 will raise funds for the Morgan Pressel Center for Cancer Genetics at the Eugene M. & Christine E. Lynn Cancer Institute.

At the Center, advances in genetics, prevention and early detection are available. Today, through medical enhancements and technology coupled with a generous gift from the Newman Family Foundation, it will expand its reach to a high-risk population. The goal is to connect and offer women under the age of 40 specific genetic screening and testing to detect potential hereditary mutations much earlier and to allow for a personalized plan for prevention and diagnosis based on genetic finding results. Gifts made during the luncheon will help get this initiative out of the gate, develop it more fully and sustain efforts in serving women in the community.

Boca Raton Regional Hospital Foundation is also pleased to bring back the Pink Daisy Pick Wine and Prize Raffle Pull sponsored by Constellation Brands and the Sands Family Foundation. All proceeds benefit the Go Pink Challenge and the fight against breast cancer at Boca Raton Regional Hospital.

The Boca Raton Observer is the event’s exclusive media sponsor.
