JAFCO Hosts Annual Mother’s Day Luncheon

JAFCO’s South Palm Beach/North Broward Chapter is hosting its 20th Annual Mother’s Day Luncheon at Boca West Country Club on May 5. 

The JAFCO 2022 Woman of the Year Award will be presented to Lois Kaufman for her continuing dedication and support of children in need. JAFCO is looking forward to being back, live and in person, celebrating mothers everywhere. The luncheon begins at 10 a.m. with a shopping boutique, followed by a lunch and a heartwarming program at noon.

Gayle Lichtman is the chair of this year’s event. Marci Langley and Chris Miller are serving as honorary chairs, and Shirley Weisman is the Grand Benefactor. The Boca Raton Observer is the event’s exclusive media sponsor.

JAFCO is a nonprofit organization serving abused and neglected children as well as those with developmental disabilities. They provide a full continuum of high-quality programs including foster care, adoption, family preservation, mentoring and independent living. The Emergency Shelter and Six Group Homes located within the JAFCO Children’s Village provide loving care and residential services to children from birth through 22 years of age.

Additionally, the JAFCO Children’s Ability Center supports families who are raising a child with autism or other developmental disabilities. This state-of-the-art center provides case management, support, therapy, child enrichment and extended respite care for children.
