Movin’ And Groovin’

The Adolph & Rose Levis Jewish Community Center Jeans, Jewels & The J — Movin’ and Groovin’, an evening of dining, dancing, live band, silent auction, friends and community will be held Feb. 4 at The Polo Club of Boca Raton.

This is the Levis JCC’s signature event, celebrating the organization, its committed supporters and outstanding honorees. The event begins at 7 p.m. with a cocktail reception followed by a brief program, dinner and dancing to the classic sounds of the disco era presented live by Studio 54. Chaired by Donna & Ray Herz, Nina & Martin Rosenzweig, May & Todd Rosenzweig and Remy & Steven Rosenzweig, Jeans, Jewels & The J – Movin’ and Groovin’ brings friends and our community together for a fun-filled evening to benefit the programs and services of the Levis JCC.

During the evening, the Levis JCC will honor Donna & Stuart Ganslaw with the Phyllis & Harvey Sandler Crystal Award and Karen & Ethan Lazar with the Shirley & Allan B. Solomon Leadership Award; both awards are presented annually to recognize outstanding leadership and commitment to the Levis JCC.

Jeans, Jewels, & The J- Movin’ and Groovin’ is sponsored by The Boca Raton Observer, Zo Diamonds and WLRN Public Radio. The event directly supports programs presented to our community through Levis JCC’s departments: Betty & Marvin Zale Early Childhood Learning Center, Helene & Roy Schwedelson Special Needs Department, Sports & Wellness, Arts, Culture & Learning at the Phyllis & Harvey Sandler Center, Marleen Forkas Camps, the Judy Levis Krug Boca Raton Jewish Film Festival and the Levis JCC Resale Boutique. Proceeds support a scholarship and financial aid program which enables hundreds of children to participate in preschool, special needs and summer camp programs that they would otherwise not be able to attend.
