Estate Professionals To Honor Marjorie A. Horwin At Mitzvah Society Reception

Local estate planning professionals committed to the Jewish community’s future will celebrate their 2020 honoree, Marjorie A. Horwin, CPA, at the annual Irving Eckhardt Mitzvah Society Cocktail Reception on Feb. 19.

Over the past 16 years, the Mitzvah Society has inaugurated 78 professionals who have guided their clients to establish charitable legacies through the Jacobson Jewish Community Foundation (JJCF) of the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County.

The Professional Advisory Committee (PAC) of the JJCF – and event co-chairs David Pratt and Richard Steinberg – invite colleagues, friends and others to honor Horwin at Temple Beth El of Boca Raton, starting with cocktails and followed by dinner (dietary laws will be observed).

“Marjorie’s tireless efforts are driven by her commitment to the well-being and security of our community for generations to come while facilitating her clients’ financial and philanthropic goals,” says JJCF Chair Laurence I. Blair. “Along with her leadership and guidance, her personal contributions and MBAF corporate sponsorship, she is a shining example for our community’s professionals.”

Horwin is the managing principal of the MBAF office serving Palm Beach County and principal-in-charge of the private wealth services group. She has practiced in income, estate, trust and exempt organization tax planning and compliance for more than three decades, with a focus on family wealth preservation. Horwin has held a variety of leadership roles at JJCF and the federation.

The Boca Raton Observer is the event’s exclusive magazine sponsor. O
