Our Home & Design Issue Is Full Of Visual Inspiration

Linda L. Behmoiras

We always feel nostalgic while planning our March Home & Design Issue.

After all, there’s no place like home. We want it to be inviting. And relaxing. And stylish. So, it’s no wonder we’re always refreshing, upgrading and renovating our living spaces.

While pinning décor ideas on Pinterest and watching HGTV for inspiration is fun, achieving that picture-perfect look isn’t always easy. I learned that firsthand. I’m in the middle of a transformation of my entire home, and I’ve never had so many decisions to make: fabrics, tiles, woods, knobs, stains, paint colors... The list is as endless as a Florida summer. But, finally, it’s all starting to come together, and it’s going to be worth all those sleepless nights.

And it will be fashion forward.

Much like our cover story on wunderkind fashion designer and “Project Runway” winner Christian Siriano, who has created show-stopping gowns for A-listers like Michelle Obama, Jennifer Lopez and Lizzo. Check out “The Game Changer” (page 68) to learn what drives this young visionary and to understand his deep commitment to inclusivity.

Next, step inside a stunning 10,000-square-foot Hillsboro Beach home in “Rooms With A View” (page 74). The spectacular ocean vistas, custom finishes and creative design choices add up to a contemporary residence that exudes both luxury and comfort.

Then, we had a blast chatting with “Million Dollar Listing New York” star Fredrik Eklund, whose trademark high kicks, colorful socks and larger-than-life personality take center stage in “The Fredrik Effect” (page 80). Here, the real estate agent with the star-studded clientele discusses his secrets to success, achieving work-life balance and what it’s like raising twins.

We also visit a couple starting a new chapter in a waterfront Lighthouse Point home – which they built from the ground up. In “Sea Change” (page 84), discover how this 4,100-square-foot dream home reflects the homeowners’ casual, uncluttered lifestyle and provides plenty of room for entertaining.

Finally, check out our changing skyline in “Up, Up And Away!” (page 90), where you’ll tour six new luxury condos taking shape in Boca Raton and Delray Beach. Location is key, of course, but buyers also appreciate the buildings’ resort-like amenities, top-notch service and stunning modern design.

I hope you find something in these pages to inspire your design dreams – whether big or small.

Until next month,
