Comfort And Joy

Holiday Cheer Is the Focus Of Our December Issue

Linda L. Behmoiras

It’s so 2020. That became the catchphrase for everything that went awry this year – and, sadly, there was no shortage of distressing news.

But as we look ahead to brighter days, we want to end the year on a festive note with our December Holiday Issue, brimming with tidings of comfort and joy – along with feel-good stories, a kaleidoscope of gift ideas and jolly ways to celebrate the season.

So grab a cup of cocoa, a glass of wine or perhaps some (spiked) eggnog – and settle in for a cheery read.

There’s no one better to get us in the holiday spirit than Kristin Chenoweth, who is ringing in the season with a new Netflix movie and a decadent baking show. Settle in with “Merry Kristin” (page 66) where you’ll learn about the singer and actress’ favorite holiday traditions and her plans for music-filled days with her boyfriend and family.

You’ll be ready to pack your bags for a delightful road trip after perusing “Winter Wonderlands” (page 72), where we showcase six East Coast getaways within driving distance that are sure to create holiday magic. With everything from chateaus to majestic mountains, it will be hard to choose just one.

We also introduce you to Vanessa Hudgens, lovingly dubbed the Queen of Christmas rom-com, in “The Beat Goes On” (page 80). The “High School Musical” star, who celebrates her birthday this month, returns for more royal shenanigans (and a triple part) in Netflix’s “The Princess Switch: Switched Again,” the sequel to her popular 2018 holiday film. Our thanks to Hudgens for providing a much-needed dose of escapism.

Your friends and family will be tickled pink when they receive the perfect presents you’ll discover in our ultimate gift guide. Check out “Color Their World” (page 86) for fabulous gift ideas for everyone on your list in all the colors of the rainbow.

From our family to yours, we wish you a joyous holiday season filled with good cheer, good health, love and laughter.  Enjoy your holidays safely and wisely while making cherished memories with family and friends.

Let’s reconnect when we start our new chapters in 2021.

Best,

Linda L. Behmoiras
