It’s All About The Journey

Appreciating All This Beautiful World Has To Offer

by

While it’s hard to ignore that our world of travel has been disrupted in the past two years, the quote by Hans Christian Anderson,  “To travel is to live,” continues to define a pivotal part of who I am.

I’ve always been fascinated by travel: whether to faraway lands or unknown gems in my own backyard, exploring new places — their culture, people and food — is always an experience I enjoy. Maybe it’s the romantic in me (hello, Valentine’s Day!) paired with a never-ending sense of wonder to explore, but visiting destinations always fills my heart. So, it is no surprise that I’m thrilled to share our February Travel Issue with you.

Packed with marvelous and magical locations, this month we take you to some of the most beautiful places in the world. Our editor Alona starts us off with the bucket-list destination of the Galápagos Islands in her wondrous piece “Glory Of Galápagos” (page 74). Between the adorable sea lions, exotic rock formations and luxury accommodations, you’ll find yourself perusing the calendar to figure out when you can go!

If fairytale settings are more your cup of tea, get ready to be swept away reading “Irresistible Ireland” (page 84). We’ll take you on a grand tour of the Emerald Isle’s most fantastic manors and castles where lucky travelers can stay. Between the idyllic landscape, extraordinary spas and unique activities (falconry, anyone?), this is one trip you’ll want to plan with the whole family.

We’ve had our own bout of “chilly” weather in South Florida lately (I, for one, have been thrilled to wear sweaters and boots), but for a true frosty experience, we take you to the charming New England town of Stowe, Vermont. “Winter Wonder” (page 94) lays out the perfect long weekend escape — from where to ski (or sip an après ski cocktail) — to where to indulge in a romantic dinner and find the best IPA, you’ll want to cozy up to this read and plan your getaway.

Inspired by the month of February (specifically, Feb. 14!), we found it fitting to include “Dreamy Destinations” (page 100) showcasing top spots to celebrate love. We’ve covered it all: mountains, beaches and romantic cities, so be sure to take notes (or drop your loved one a special hint!)

Lastly, everyone needs the necessary goodies to make their journey a smooth one. “Shopping Guide For The Traveler” (page 104) is an informative, varied and indispensable piece for those who crave to see the world with comfortable, stylish and practical products.

It is my hope this issue inspires you to continue exploring our beautiful world and embrace the people within it.

I’d also like to wish everyone a Happy Valentine’s Day! May it be filled with love, laughter and plenty of passion!

All the best,

Linda L. Behmoiras
