Learn To Make Sushi At ETARU Hallandale

by

Want to make sushi rolls but don't know where to start?

ETARU Hallandale, an acclaimed Japanese waterfront restaurant featuring contemporary robatayaki cuisine, recently launched a Sushi Masterclass led by Executive Chef Luca Spiga.

The class, on the first Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in Hallandale Beach, offers 20 people a chance to create two of the restaurant's signature maki rolls (sushi rolls wrapped in seaweed). Chef Spiga guides guests through the creation process step-by-step as they imbibe Saketini cocktails.

The interactive culinary experience takes place in an intimate beachfront setting, and guests sit at a long communal table. ETARU also features floor-to-ceiling glass doors and alfresco dining steps away from the sand.

Once the rolls have been created - and consumed - dessert is served. Then, guests depart with a swag bag to help them recreate the experience at home, including an ETARU apron, a custom bandana, a sushi mat, chopsticks and a sake bottle.

The restaurant, which also has a location on Las Olas Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale, features robata-grilled seafood (which is slowly grilled over charcoal) as well as sushi, sashimi, raw dishes, salads, tatakis, tempura and other Japanese specialties.

Reservations are required for the class.

ETARU Hallandale is located at 111 S. Surf Road, Hallandale Beach. For more information, call 954-271-3222 or visit etarurestaurant.us.
