Fresh Catch

Mizner Park Welcomes Seafood Tavern Loch Bar

If you're a fan of Boca Raton's popular Ouzo Bay restaurant, you'll be thrilled to hear that its sister restaurant, Loch Bar, has just opened nearby, also in Mizner Park.

Seafood is the thing at Loch Bar, a classic seafood tavern whose flagship is located in Baltimore. The 200-seat, 5,500-square-foot restaurant serves up plenty of delights fresh from the ocean, including 14 varieties of oysters, crab legs, ceviche and poke.

The menu also includes such dishes as the Crab Louie salad, with colossal crab, romaine lettuce, radish, avocado and a hardboiled egg; Fried Oysters, with Old Bay remoulade; and Fish N Chips, made with local fish and battered with Funky Buddha beer. Land lubbers can indulge in Steak Frites Au Poive, with pommes frites, and a 14-ounce Prime Rib, with pommes duchess, mushrooms and brisket jus.

The drink selection is just as enticing - think frosé, "crushes" and nearly 350 whiskeys alongside craft beer, wine, cocktails and champagne.

Considering that the restaurant also offers live music seven days a week as well as Sunday brunch, we'd say Loch Bar is the perfect catch.

Loch Bar is located at Mizner Park, 346 Plaza Real, Boca Raton. For more information, visit lochbar.com.
