A Moving Feast

RED South Beach Moves, Adds Patio Dining

by

If you’re looking for RED South Beach, you’ll need to reset your Google Maps. This iconic steakhouse has moved to a new location — and added patio dining.

The restaurant — which opened in 2008 — now calls 801 South Pointe Drive in Miami Beach home.

“When the pandemic hit, and the city closed indoor dining for the second time, the partners knew that moving to a location that had outdoor dining was necessary for their survival. They also knew they needed to remain part of their beloved South of Fifth community,” notes the venue’s website. “Affectionately referred to as RED 2.0, our new ‘home’ includes a 3,000-square-foot patio, our signature RED wine room, a dividable private dining room, and a glassed enclosed VIP room.”

The interior is infused with art curated by Katarina von Ewegen as well as a custom mural created by mosaic artist Daniel Mazzone.

What hasn’t changed? The eatery’s passion for food — and Chef Peter Vauthy’s dedication to creative cuisine as well as the signature wine wall. The main focus is certified Angus Beef Prime — and an adherence to prepared-from-scratch ingredients.

Let’s not forget the handcrafted signature cocktails and expansive wine list. Sounds like a recipe for success.

RED South Beach is located at 801 South Pointe Drive, Miami Beach. For more information, call 305-534-3688 or visit redsobe.com.
