Jaffa’s Middle Eastern Fare Now Available In Hallandale

by

Jaffa, which made a name for itself in Miami with its Israeli and Mediterranean cuisine, has opened an outpost in Hallandale.

The eatery — which offers a Kosher-style, Glatt kosher meat and dairy-free menu as well as an array of vegan dishes — draws its inspiration for its cuisine and ambiance from Jaffa, Tel Aviv — a vibrant city packed with Middle Eastern eateries.

“Just like Jaffa’s vibrant city, guests are greeted with an authentic and colorful 45-seat dining room and bar area combined with Israeli design elements throughout the space.

The walls are lined with Tel Aviv and Israel travel 1960s and 1970s posters and murals accompanied with dark wood dining tables and chairs with vivid cushions and pillows,” notes a press release.

Adds Executive Chef Yaniv Cohen, known as The Spice Detective and the winner of Netflix’s season finale “Best Leftovers Ever,” “I’m delighted to bring Jaffa to the Hallandale neighborhood to offer a destination where guests can enjoy good-tasting food, a trendy atmosphere and lively entertainment all in one spot. When guests visit the restaurant, I want to give them an experience and a true taste of my heart and my authentic Israeli dishes.”

The menu abounds with dishes that highlight his native roots and in-depth spice knowledge including turmeric roasted cauliflower.
