Navé Launches New Menu For Sundays

Chefs Michael Beltran and Justin Flit have ramped things up at Navé in Coconut Grove.

Now available: Sunday brunch featuring seafood, house made pasta dishes, wood fired pizzas and specialty breakfast items.

 Among the seafood offerings: oysters on the half shell; Florida stone crabs; chilled lobster and shrimp cocktail. The breadbasket includes zucchini raisin bread, honey butter biscuits, milk bread, goat milk butter and seasonal jam.

Entrées include Crab Toast Benedict, Rigatoni Cacio e Pepe and Rotolo with Veal, Pork and Beef Bolognese.

As for that pizza? Flit, who gained celebrity status for his pies made at the now-shuttered Proof Pizza & Pasta restaurant, does not disappoint. He’s created several options including a Special Breakfast Pizza topped with bacon, eggs, mozzarella and provolone as well as a Smoked Whitefish Pizza with crème fraiche, red onion, capers and smoked trout roe. Carnivores will be pleased to hear there is an option for them: The Meat Lovers Pizza with soppressata, pepperoni, tomato sauce and mozzarella.

Libations make brunch even better and at Navé standouts include the Elderflower Spritz created with Fiorente elderflower, Lillet Blanc and sparkling wine and, for something a bit stronger, The Corpse Reviver #2 made with gin, Cocchi Americano, Cointreau, lemon and absinthe. There is also a well-curated selection of wine.
